Carolyn Craven Jeannette, 65, of Saint Petersburg, Florida (formerly of Wampum) died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence.
Born January 2, 1948 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Betta J. Dale Craven.
Carolyn had previously worked in the Human Resources Department at Home Depot and Lowe’s. She also was a piano and voice music teacher. She was a devoted Christian attending a number of local churches where she was the organist and choir director. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ellwood City. She was an active member and past president of the Wampum Historical Society. Carolyn loved music.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Joann Kakascik-Dye and Robert Dye, with whom she resided; two sisters, Marlene Craven of Trinity, Florida, Arlene (Ron) Welch of Beaver Falls; and a granddaughter, Noelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Members of the Easter Star will have a service at 6:45.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 am with Rev. Todd Davis of the Wampum United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
