Charles Louis Sari, 93, of Perry Township went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Born May 22, 1929 in Ellport Borough, Ellwood City, PA he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Black Sari. He married the love of his life Lois J. Sari on March 25, 1948. They shared 71 years together until her passing on April 15, 2019.
He was employed for 43 1/2 years by Ellwood City Iron Wire as a Supervisor. After retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at J.F. Mill for several more years. He was a member of the Moose and Elks Club in Ellwood City. Charles was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed hunting expeditions to Wyoming with friends. He was very proud of the hunting camp he built himself in Emporium PA. He shared many hunting seasons and wonderful memories there with his sons and grandsons. When he wasn’t hunting, he enjoyed woodworking in his garage at home.
Charles leaves behind his daughter Kathy Sari of New Castle; two sons, Frank (Mary) Sari of New Castle and Charles (Bettie) Sari of Franklin PA; two grandsons, Frank of New Castle and Kevin (Tami) of Polk PA; two great-grandsons, Reece and Kelan Sari both of Polk PA; sister, Bertha Pasquale of Ellwood City, and close family friend Donna Remler of New Castle.
In addition to his wife Lois and his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother Frank and three sisters, Annie Allison, Elsie Caruso, and Mary Mader.
Private services were held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Interment followed in Locust Grove Cemetery.
