Charlotte C. Nulph

Charlotte C. Nulph, 85, of New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on  Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home following an extended illness.

Born October 28, 1927 in Branchton, Butler County,  she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Deal Armstrong.  She was married to Arthur R. Nulph Sr. who passed away on July 1, 1990.

Charlotte formerly worked at the G.C. Murphy Co in Ellwood City.  She was an active member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon for many years.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 749 in Wampum.  Charlotte enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her brothers.  She was a special mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  She was loved and cherished by everyone and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors include five children, Carol (Harold L. “Dutch”) Householder, Deb (Ron) Frelin, Arthur R. “Buster” (Kathy) Nulph Jr,, all of New Beaver Boro,  John W. (Sherri) Nulph with whom she resided, Thomas E. (Kim) Nulph of Wampum;  five brothers, Edwin Dewayne (Betty) Armstrong of New Beaver, William (Lucy) Armstrong of Oklahoma, Glen Leroy Armstrong of Beaver Falls, Kenneth (Deb) Armstrong of New Beaver, Arnold (Barb) Armstrong of Virginia; three daughter in laws, Karen, Linda, and Eleanor; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Robert E. Nulph, sister, Betty Moss, brother, Plummer Armstrong, and a sister in infancy.

Visiting hours will be held from 7-9 pm  on Friday  and from  2-4 and 7-9 pm on Saturday at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at the Wampum Presbyterian Church  at 2:00 pm with her pastor, Rev. Dr. William R. McGary  officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wampum Presbyterian Church.
