Chester E. Heaton Sr.

Chester E. Heaton Sr., 85, of La Plata, Maryland, formerly of Eastvale passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 following an extended illness.

Born September 13, 1928 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Bartholemew and Minnie Smith Heaton .

He was married to the late Lois Koenig Heaton and currently was married to Vivian Kay Merritt Heaton of Maryland.

Chester formerly worked at Babcock and Wilcox in Beaver Falls. Chester served in the US Navy.

In addition to his wife, Vivian Kay, survivors include two sons, Raymond (Diane) Heaton of St. Paul, Minnesota, Larry (Chris) Heaton of Deltona, FL; daughter, Connie (Robert “Yogi”) Compton of Darlington; sister, Betty Kirkwood of Wampum; brother, Sam (Mary) Heaton of Koppel; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois and a son, Chester Heaton Jr.

Funeral Services were held at the Marshall Funeral Home in December with Rev. Dr. William R. McGary officiating.

Interment followed in Grandview Cemetery.
