Clara E. Brown

Clara E. Brown, 88, of Northview Estates, Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Ellwood City Medical Center following a rich and full life.

A lifetime resident of Ellwood City, she was born February 5, 1930. Clara was the daughter of the late Gerald R. and Agnes M. Hahn Conner . She was married for 47 years to Robert O. Brown who passed away July 3, 2005.

Clara graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. A registered nurse, she worked in the Maternity Department of the former Mary Evans/Ellwood City Hospital for 33 years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and served as the church historian.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryll (James) Barry and Karen Bell, both of Ellwood City, Beth Ann (David) McCormick of Grove City; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert L. Conner and a second brother, William Conner in infancy.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday November 24 from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm at the Marshall Funeral Home. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Her nephew, Rev. Philip Chalfant will officiate the service. Final interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
