Clarence Boots Jr., 87, of North Beaver Twp. passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Clen Moore Place in New Castle.
Born June 21, 1934 in the Newport area of Wampum, he was the son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Cook Boots Sr. He was married to Shirley Wigley Boots for 58 years when she passed away June 17, 2011.
Clarence was a third generation carpenter and contractor with 60 years of building custom homes for Boots Construction. He was an active member of the Westfield Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. Clarence served as a member and former President of the Lawrence County Fair Board of Directors. He was also a former member and past President of the Mohawk School Board. He was also a member of the Enon Valley Masonic Lodge 411. Clarence enjoyed his time on his farm and his John Deere Tractors.
Survivors include two children; Terri Lynn (David) Carley and James Hart (Evelyn) Boots, both of North Beaver Twp.; and a number of nieces and nephews that lovingly referred to him as Uncle Booba.
The last of his family, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Koch, and Eileen Shearer and a brother, Donald Boots.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 28 from 4-7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.
Funeral Services will be held at the Westfield Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 29 at 2 pm with Rev. Bobby Griffith and Chaplain Steve Read officiating. Interment will follow in Westfield Cemetery.
