Cliff L. Boring, 64, of Franklin Township passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness.
Born May 25, 1958 in Spangler, PA, he was the son of the late William and Leona Laney Boring. He was married to Debby McKinney Boring.
Cliff graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1976 where he was the captain of the rifle team and was in the ROTC program. In 1982 he graduated from PTI. Out of PTI, Cliff worked for over 44 years as an auto tech in several garage’s and dealerships before going to work at Pittsburgh Manheim in Butler County for over 10 years and then ending up at Jack Hockenberger Motors in Zelienople until they closed and he retired. Cliff attended the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. He collected metal diecast cars and loved to ride his antique 1972 Triumph Motorcycle and also enjoyed riding go-carts, dirt bikes, and snowmobiles when he was younger. Cliff also enjoyed listening to music, especially Bob Seger. He was a simple private man and loved to walk at McConnells Mills. He is now with his favorite dog Nook. Cliff cherished moments with his grandkids.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years Debby; three daughters, Danielle McDowell of North Sewickley, Kayla Boring of North Sewickley and Krista Boring of Franklin Township; two sisters, Im (George) McKinney of Evans City and Sis (Jim) Petry of Renfrew; four brothers, Bill (Betty Lou) of Evans City, Eugene of North Carolina, Rob (Sally) of Renfrew, and Jake of Prospect; three granddaughters, MacKenzie and Morgan McBurney and Nikki McDowell; two grandsons, Tyler Boring and Kaiden McDowell; great-grandson, Eric Boring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather who raised him, Dean Garver; brother Gary and his in-laws Norman and Rose McKinney.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday July 16, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am with Pastor John Creekpaum officiating at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
