David C. Ketterer

David C. Ketterer, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle, PA with his family at his bedside.

He was born in Ellwood City on January 18, 1948, to the late Karl Wesley Ketterer and the late Grace Fedora Irwin Ketterer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968. He married his wife, Patricia Lorraine Cox Ketterer on October 28, 1967. David worked at the B&W Steel Mill and then as an insurance agent at the former Kildoo Insurance Agency. David was a devoted husband and a loving father known for his friendship and kindness and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Colleen Agostinelli and Marjorie Hendrickson and brothers, Richard and Don Ketterer.

David is survived by his wife Patricia, children, David Christopher (Erica) Ketterer of LaPorte, IN and Tricia (Jesse) Rosenberger of Ellwood City, grandchildren, Luke, Zachary, and Chase Ketterer of LaPorte, IN, Brittany (John) Severn of Neshannock Twp, Jeffrey (Alayna) Vitale of Neshannock Twp, Christian (Meredith) Vitale of Strongsville, OH, and Nicole (Jonathan) Minocci of Ellwood City, and his seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ken Ketterer of Wampum and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday January 25, 2025 from 2 until the Memorial Service at 3 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Carolyn Moss of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church will officiate.
