David Paul Rambo Sr., 78, of Tionesta passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Wampum, at his daughter's residence.
Born August 20, 1946, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Francis "Fritz" and Mary Young Rambo. He was married to the late Jeraldyne "Jerry" Ann Haswell Rambo. They shared 54 years of marriage until her passing on May 9, 2019.
In David's younger years he worked as a mechanic, bodyman, and skilled car painter, first at Bachman's Garage in New Brighton, and then at Poor Boys Auto Body in Beaver. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved riding his Harley, especially with his nephew and niece, Roy and Heather Durr.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie (Joe Butera) Rambo with whom he resided of Wampum, and Heather (Kevin Hall) Rambo of Tionesta; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Mindy, Nicole, James, Billi, Stephanie, Steven, Sara, and Jesse; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Judy) Rambo of Beaver; five sisters, Bonnie McCann of Center, Sandy Durr of Homewood, Jean Eaton of Ellwood City, Nancy (Sonny) Place of Beaver, and Darlene Rambo of New Brighton.
In addition to his parents and wife Jerry, David was preceded in death by his son David Jr. in 2020, daughter, Paula Tinney in 2024, two great-grandchildren in infancy Natalia in 2025 and Abbigail in 2016, and his brother Everett John Rambo.
A Memorial Service will be held at the New Galilee Community Center on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Andy Russell officiating.
