Delia Decianno Leopardo

Delia DeCianno Leopardo, 87, of North Sewickley Township, passed away at her residence on September 11, 2014.

She was born April 12, 1927, in Beaver Falls, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Amelia DeMatteo DeCianno.

She graduated from Beaver Falls High School and the Providence Hospital School of Nursing. Delia worked as a nurse in Miami Beach, FL, and in Oahu, Hawaii. On October 6, 1956, she married John Leopardo. Upon returning to this area, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Providence Hospital and lastly the Beaver Valley Medical Center, where she retired in 1988. Delia was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish. She enjoyed traveling, watching football, and spending time with her family.

Delia is survived by her devoted husband John and her five loving daughters, Karen (Kevin) Stewart, Kathryn (Bill) McKenzie, Sylvia (Jeff) Simon, Barbara (Greg) Martin and Elvy (David) Kirkham. She is also survived by two sisters, Lucia Ostrom, and Mary Jerome, a brother, Gene DeCianno and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Delia was preceded in death by her sister, Elvira DeCianno and a brother, John DeCianno.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 16 at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in the Williamsburg Mausoleum at the Beaver Falls Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic School Angel Fund or The American Heart Association.
