Delores E. Downey

Delores E. Downey, 82, of Wampum passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Avalon Place.

Born November 12, 1938 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eva Weigle Kraynie. She was married to John E. “Jack” Downey for 50 years when he passed on June 17, 2007.

Delores was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School. She was a current member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and enjoyed trips to the casino.

Survivors include son, Donald E. (Leslie Hardy) Downey of Wampum; Daughter, Kim McClymonds of TN; sister, Margie (Larry) Bundy of South Beaver Township; brother, Glen Kraynie of Bridgewater; four grandchildren, Brandon (Rikki) Downey, Mindy McClymonds, Jessica (Andy) Hilliard, and Brittany Downey; three great granchildren, Leighton Downey, Paisley and Waylin Hilliard.

She was preceded in death by a son in law, Ron McClymonds; two sisters, Goldie Sykes and Irene Cunningham; and two brothers, Melvin and Ed Kraynie.

A private funeral service will be held for the family at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum, on Monday, December 28, 2020 with her Pastor Elizabeth Wallace officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
