Denis E. Graf Sr.

Denis E. Graf Sr., 83, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his residence.

Born January 27, 1941 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward L. and Laura Mae Flaherty Graf.

Denis worked at numerous mills in the area and also at Penn State University where he devoted 25 years of service until his retirement. He was a member of the teamsters and a lifetime member of ABATE. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all riding his motorcycle. 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Carole Stephan Graf; son, Denis Graf Jr.; daughter, Donna Graf; two granddaughters, Nicole and Caitlyn; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah Mae, and Lucia Rose; brother, Edward Graf; sister Gail Graf Hodgins; brother-in-law Richard Stephan; sister-in-law, Margaret Stephan; great-great-grandson, Joshua Jr., four nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Mary Ann Graf.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday October 13, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Tod Custer will officiate.

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
