Donald F. Fazenbaker

Donald F. Fazenbaker, 86, of New Beaver Boro passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following a short illness.

Born May 10, 1930 in Westernport, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest S. and Florence E. Warnick Fazenbaker.  He was married for 67 years to Althea P. “Red” Green Fazenbaker as they were married February 12, 1949. She survives.

Don retired on August 14, 1986 following 35 1/2 years of service at Babcox and Wilcox, Koppel Works where he was a crane man. He was a member of the West Pittsburgh United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Althea “Red”, survivors include a son, Donald F. Fazenbaker Jr. of Beaver; daughter, Cathy Fazenbaker of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three brothers.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Fazenbaker in 2006, four brothers and a sister.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 11 am at the West Pittsburgh United Methodist Church. His pastor, Rev. Todd Davis will officiate the service.
