Donald King, 51, of Robin St., Ellwood City, Wurtemburg, Perry Twp., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.
Don was born in Ellwood City on Oct. 25, 1960, to Donald O. King of Perry Twp. and the late M. Jane Cook King, who passed on Nov. 23, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Jamie King, whom he married on June 6, 1981.
Don was a member of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church and the 1979 class of Lincoln High School. Don loved looking out for his parents, sister, aunts, uncles, but his greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved watching them ride their horses at the Squaw Run Stables. Don was very patriotic and the proud father of a staff sergeant in the Air Force.
In addition to his wife, Jamie, he is survived by a daughter, Rachel King of Ellwood; a son, Joshua King of New Mexico; a sister, Diana (Scott) Dambach of Carlisle, Pa.; four grandchildren, three of whom lived with Don and Jamie: Trinity, Lexus, Sabree King and Chloe King.
Private services for family and friends will be held Sunday at the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Stinson officiating.
Interment will be at the Wurtemburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to a benefit fund for his grandchildren in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
