Donna Mae Baird, 83, of Kate Houk Rd., Wayne Twp. passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief illness.

Born August 27, 1932 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtle Young McCaslin. She was married for 62 years to Robert V. Baird as they were married June 11, 1953. He survives.

Donna graduated in 1950 from Lincoln High School and continued her education at Butler School of Nursing where she graduated in 1953 as a Registered Nurse. She practiced nursing for over 40 years, working at the Ellwood City Hospital and also for the Lawrence County Visiting Nurse Association.She was an active member of the First Church of God, having taught the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study. She was also active with and formerly the president of the Ellwood City Business and Professional Women and was a Past Commander of the New Castle Power Squadron. Donna enjoyed card club with her long time friends. She also enjoyed boating, bird watching, and traveling. Her most cherished time was spent with family.

In addition to her husband, Bob, survivors include two daughters, Hope (Stacy) Devore of Willoughby, Ohio, Faith (Stephen) Craig of New Castle; two sons, Robert G. (Nancy) Baird of Umitilla, Florida, Frank (Tamara) Baird of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Ellen Ricketts of Sun City, Florida, Elsie Fombelle of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Justine (Gabe) Host, Nathan Devore, Zachary Devore, Madeleine Craig, Samuel Craig, Jennifer (Paul) Kasianides, Sarah (Ben) Gill, Jake Voegtly; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral services will be held at the First Church of God on Monday at 11 am with her pastor, Phil Conklin officiating.

Interment will follow in the North Sewickley Cemetery.
