Doris L. Martin

Doris L. Martin, 84, formerly of Neshannock Twp. died on  Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Lawrence County Gericare following a  lingering illness.

Born September 12, 1928 in Sandy Lake, PA,  she was the daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth Lusk Swisher. She was married for 62 years to Reinhold  Martin who passed away on March 14, 2009.

Doris was a member of the Shenango Twp. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She enjoyed playing the piano and organ.  She also enjoyed dancing and roller skating.

Survivors include two daughters, Debby (Jim) Koelliker of New Castle, Cyndy (Doug) Schnell of Shenango Twp.; two sons, Tim (Joedda) Martin of Bradenton, FL, Randy (Tammy) Martin of New Castle; sister, Barbara (Ed) Kaminski of MI; brother, Neil  Swisher of New Wilmington; twelve grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children, Amy Elizabeth Martin in 1985. Dan Martin in 1995, and Wendy Jo Morrow  in 2005.

A memorial service will be held at the Shenango Twp. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s  Witnesses on Saturday September 22 at 3:00 pm with Karl Lutgens conducting the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
