Doris”Dori” T. Clark, 85, of Edinburg Rd. New Castle, PA passed away peacefully with her children at her side on January 2, 2014 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

Born, December 16, 1928 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late, James W. and Katharine Bender Tebay.

Doris graduated from Geneva College and received her Master’s Degree from Westminster College. She taught 7th grade reading at Mohawk Jr.-Sr. High School, retiring in 1989. She and her husband John enjoyed traveling and took numerous trips in the US, as well as Europe. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge. She was a member of the Storytellers Guild. She recently entertained her fellow residents at Windsor Estates with some of her stories. she also enjoyed playing the violin, singing and playing golf.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, James A. Book in 1965.

She is survived by her husband John R. Clark of New Castle, PA , four children; Pam (Larry) Macaluso of Charlotte, NC, Jim (Lorraine) Book, Janis (Carl) Ezzo, both of New Castle and Diane (John) Davis of New Middletown, Ohio. She also leaves a step-son, the Rev. Dr. David (Beth Ann) Clark, a step-daughter, Anne (Tom) Kephart both of New Castle and a sister, Rosemary (Alvin) Smith of Mt. Lebanon, PA. In addition, Doris leaves 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 2:00 until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Westfield Presbyterian Church, Mt Jackson Rd. New Castle, PA. Rev. Paul Votaw will officiate. Interment will follow at Castleview Memorial Gardens in New Castle.
