Eileen Blinn

Eileen Blinn, 82, formerly of Chewton, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Evergreen Nursing Center following an extended illness.

Born October 8, 1930 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Julia Laughlin Hackett. She was married for 42 years to Gerald W. Blinn Sr. who died July 25, 1992. A member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, Eileen enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald W. Blinn Jr. and Ronald L. Blinn, both of Ellwood City and Daniel L. Blinn of Tucson, Arizona, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, William E. Blinn on June 18, 1988 and Thomas R. Blinn on May 9, 2008, sister, Helen Reeher, and two brothers, James and Wayne Hackett.

Friends will be received on Friday from 11 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.

Rev. Father Camillus Njoku will officiate

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
