Emma E. Lumley

Emma E. Lumley, 83, of Underwood St., New Castle (Union Twp.) died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Although in ill health, death was unexpected.

Born May 30, 1931 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late D. Henry and Emma Lakes Welsh. She was married for 51 years to C. John Lumley who passed away in 2001.

Emma was affiliated with the Word Alive Church in Ellwood City. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and circle word puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time doing yard work. She loved dogs, especially her two special granddogs, Scrappy and Murphy.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn (Steve A.) Wallace with whom she resided; sister, Elsie DeVries of Ellwood City; three grandsons, Thomas May with whom she also resided, John Wallace of Alabama, Mike Wallace of California; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a half-brother, Louis Revetti.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday August 12 from 7 pm until the time of the funeral service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Cliff Reynolds of Word Alive will officiate.
