Florence M. Mccrobie

Florence M. McCrobie, 90, of Koppel passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her daughter’s residence following an extended illness.

Born June 23, 1932 in Morgantown, WV, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Florence Eicher Thompson. She was married to Charles E. McCrobie for 61 years when he passed away November 21, 2010.

In Florence’s younger years she worked as a Machine Operator at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill. She loved baking and making candy. Her most cherished moments were time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include six daughters, Virginia F. Jacobs of Missouri, Jean E. (Gary) Comer of Wampum, Sherry E. McCrobie of Koppel, Terry L. (Jay) Jacobs of Scott Township, Traci L. (Kevin “Duke”) Colon of Cleveland, and Christina A. (Donald “Beaker”) Liberty of Wampum; son, Joseph R. (Linda) McCrobie of Wampum; sister, Pearl of Morgantown; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Charles in 2011, five sisters and one brother.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at noon at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Pastor Dave Keppen will officiate. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
