Frances Coulter

Frances Coulter, 87, of Orchard Ave. Ellwood City died on Friday, February 3, 2012 at her residence following a brief illness.

Born January 29, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Harrie Charles and Lillian Frances Davis Cook.

She was married to Laird L. Coulter who passed away June 12, 1993.

Frances was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was the President of the Election Board of the 4th Ward for 22 years. She was also in charge of the Meals on Wheels Program for over 25 years. Frances was an avid Steelers Fan. She enjoyed reading and puzzle books.

Survivors include 3 sons – Larry (Gloria) Coulter of Lewes, DE, Don (Patricia) Coulter and John (Kerry) Coulter, both of Ellwood City; daughter – Linda (Paul York) Cook York of West Chester, PA; 5 grandchildren – Beth English, Kevin Coulter, Chris Elliott, Josh Coulter and Kaylee Coulter.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James W. Coulter in 2000 and a brother, Charles Cook .

Private funeral services were held with her pastor, Rev. James Hockenberry officiating. Interment followed in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
