Frank Gioffre

Francis “Frank” J. Gioffre Jr., 89, a lifetime resident of Koppel, died Fri. March 7, 2014, peacefully in his home. Born August 21st, 1924, a son of the late Frank and Mary Mangerie Gioffre. He was a World War II Veteran. He was Superintendent at B&W, for The East Works in Beaver Falls and The Special Metals plant in Koppel, and retired after 40 years of service. He was a devout member of Queen of Heaven Church, Koppel.

Frank was a devoted husband of 59 years to his departed wife Anne Kabat Gioffre and loving brother to the late Joseph, Vincent and Lou Gioffre. He is survived by his adoring family: son Michael; daughters Rebecca, Terry, Marie and her husband Howard; granddaughter Jessica; sister-in-laws Margaret, Helen, Jean, and his many nieces and nephews.

A private family visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Marshall Funeral Home in Wampum. Followed by a funeral mass at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City at 11:00AM.

Frank’s incredible personality, his rich advice, infectious laugh, compassion, love, selflessness and dedication to his family, will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, and if desired, the family is requesting that donations be made to a favorite charity.
