Fred E. Bennett, 94, of Fombell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at his residence.
Born May 1, 1930 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Bender Bennett.
A proud Army Veteran, Fred served from 1952-1954. He formerly owned F.E. Bennett excavating and retired from Herr-Voss in Rochester where he worked as a truck driver. After his retirement he worked in maintenance at Camp Kon-O-Kwee. He enjoyed going to the auctions in Rogers OH especially the Heavy Equipment Auctions, and hardly ever missed enjoying a fish dinner on Fridays at Harry's Place in Darlington.
Survivors include three sons, Kenny (Tammy), Larry (Jill) both of Fombell, and Bill (Lynn) Bennett of Robinson Twp; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and stepson, Charlie (Stacy) Berresford of Harlansburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers John and William Bennett and his sister Elizabeth "Sis" O'Brien.
Following his wishes no services will be held.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Camp Kon-O-Kwee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home.
