Frederick J. Bridge, 83, of North Sewickley Twp. died unexpectedly Monday, October 6, 2014 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 18, 1931 in Clarion,he was the son of the late Frederick J. and Constance Boyer Bridge. He was married on January 24, 1956 to Anna C. Tizlaretz Bridge who passed away February 21, 2004. They were married for 48 years.

Fred began working in 1962 at Babcock and Wilcox in Koppel. He retired as a crane man in 1988. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Fred was a member of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing his guitar. His most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Woods of Hopewell Twp., Linda Follett and Colleen Mazzanti, both of Ellwood City; three sisters, Peg Double of Renfrew, Diane (Melvin) Moser of Portersville, Sally (Harold) Pander of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, David Shoff, Robert Shoff, Lisa Meyers, Lauren Francis, Nicole Mazzanti Park, Stephen Mazzanti Jr.; and five great grandchildren, David J. Shoff, Brynn Shoff, Justin Park, Riley Meyers, Max Meyers.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons in laws, Gregory Woods and Stephen Mazzanti, and a brother in law, Conrad Double.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday October 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Daniel Stinson officiating. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Cemetery.
