Gary D. Hart, 78, of Fombell passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice following an extended illness.
Born August 1, 1945 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Leroy Samuel and Lois E. Palmer Hart.
Gary graduated from Riverside in 1964. He worked at Herr Voss for 46 years serving in multiple roles. He attended Grace Community Church in Cranberry. Gary loved working outside in his yard. His beloved collection of John Deere tractors always kept his yard immaculate. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed taking them on vacations. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. Gary made every holiday special by organizing Easter egg hunts, dressing up on Halloween, and handing out gifts as Santa Claus. No one was a stranger to Gary, he could talk to everyone and made friends easily.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years Helen Daufen Hart; daughter, Jodie (Randy) Hamilton of Beaver Falls; two sons, Richard (Tania) Hart of Ellwood City and Randy (Diane) Hart of Fombell, and seven grandchildren, Amber, Breanna, Brittany, Haley, Jenna, Brett, and Cole.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Hart in 2008.
A Private Service for the family will be held with Pastor Bob Zonts officiating.
Interment will be in Camp Run Church Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Gary’s Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
