Harry L. Boots

Go Rest High on That Mountain; Son your work on Earth is Done.
Go To Heaven a-Shouting, Love for the Father and the Son

Harry L. Boots, 85 of Ellwood City was called home by Jesus Christ, our Lord on August 8, 2023.
Harry was born June 11, 1938, to the late Henry Plugh Boots and Pearl Olive Gallaher Boots. He was married to the love of his life, his soul mate Ruth Ann McKeough Boots who preceded him in death in April 2014. They were reunited in heaven on her birthday and those who knew the love that Harry and Ruth Ann shared can only imagine their celebration in heaven. He is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Kathy) Boots, of Portersville, Eric (Tina) Boots, a daughter, Kimberly (Leonard) Ripper of Ellwood City, a special son, Thomas Pace of Montana, and grandchildren, Rachael Pearson Steinbach, Lenny Ripper, Renee Boots, James Boots, Shannon Steigerwald, Josh Clyde, Shawn Perkins, Lacey Boots and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Barry Boots and Todd Boots, a daughter in law Beth Peeples Boots,
3 grandchildren, Bradley Schiedemantle, Sandi Boots, and Jessica Spaulding, a brother and sister-in-law Henry (Mary) Boots, 2 sisters and brothers in law) Mary Lou (Bob) Brown and Wilma (Frank) Steffler.

Harry loved fishing and hunting and even falling from a tree stand could not keep him out of the woods. He also enjoyed and excelled in baseball. In his early years he worked as a carpenter and helped to build Riverside School. He later became a truck driver for McClean Trucking where he established lifelong relationships who to this day remain his friends.

He was an active member of Living Faith Church in Fombell. He loved serving God by helping others in need. This past year, you could see him straightening tombstones with his backhoe at Lillyville Church – at 84 years of age!

He loved reminiscing and wrote several short stories, including “The Good Old Days” and the “Back Porch” which includes the following excerpts:

I thank God for all the good things and the hope of something better.
I thank God for a family that love one another and stick together and help each other, no matter what.
I thank God for the gift of a woman that I truly love and enjoyed for 58 years, that was a great mother, grandmother, and wife.
I thank God for all my friends, old and new, past and present.
Above all I thank God for the promise of a place that there will be no sickness, no sad times, or things to worry about, and everything will be good and beautiful. We won’t need to worry about who is in control, that has been taken care of years ago.

Go Rest High on That Mountain; Son Your Work on Earth is Done!
Go to Heaven a-Singing Love for the Father and the Son.

Rest in Heavenly Peace, Harry.
