Helen J. Rahne

Helen J. Rahne, 94, formerly of Ellwood City died on  Friday, June 15, 2012 at the O’Brian Memorial Care Center in Masury, Ohio.

Born May 24, 1918 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose Bargail Kostka .

She was married to Emerson Rahne who passed away in 2001.

Helen loved the outdoors, she especially liked camping and fishing.   She loved to travel and enjoyed her winters in Florida.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Ernie and Barbara Rahne of Brookfield, Ohio; three granddaughters – Beth (Dave) Kingston, Brenda (Mark) Tomaszewski, Christine Sojack, and Sam Kasper, who was like a grandson to Helen; and three great grandchildren – Rachelle Eidenmiller, Harmony Kasper and Garrison Kasper.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Cecelia Skupin .

Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Marshall Funeral Home in Ellwood City with Rev. Tod Custer officiating.

Interment followed in Locust Grove Cemetery.
