Herbert E. Deal

Herbert E. Deal, 81, of West Pittsburg passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at his residence following a short illness.

Born July 11, 1938 in Koppel, he was the son of the late Herbert H. and Margaret C. (Mills) Deal.

Herb retired in 1986 from Babcock and Wilcox where he was a millwright welder. He then worked and retired in 2000 from Essroc Cement Co. in Bessemer. A Veteran of the Army, Herb served during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also enjoyed trips to the Casino. Herb’s most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen M. Pinion Deal; three sons, Robert (Stacey) Deal of Ocean Shores, Washington, Jeffrey (Tammy Miley) Deal of Tampa, Florida, Darren (Bobbie) Deal of Shenango Twp.; one daughter, Lisa (Patrick) Benigas of Neshannock Twp.; sister, Linda (Joseph) McCrobie of Wampum; brother, Robert A. (Helen) Deal of New Castle: and seven grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 13 from 5-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am with Rev. David Keppen of the Clinton Methodist Church officiating. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
