Herbert  W. “Tiger” “Sonny Boy”  Robinson, 84, of Elm Lane, Wampum (New Beaver Boro) died unexpectedly on  Thursday, May 23, 2013 at his residence.

Born November 24, 1928 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Clifford and Laura Mosley Robinson.  He was married for 59 years to Lonnie Mae Lewis Robinson as they were married June 18, 1953.  She survives.

Mr. Robinson retired from Babcock & Wilcox in Beaver Falls.  He was a member of  the First Baptist Church in Chewton.  Herbert was a Veteran of the Army serving during WWII.  Herbert enjoyed life to its fullest.  He cherished his family especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Lonnie Mae, survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann Pagett of Beaver Falls, Patricia “Patti”  Robinson of Wampum; two sons, Herbert David Robinson of Wampum, Michael V. Robinson of New Brighton; one stepson, Eugene Barber of New Castle; sister, Rev. Wilma Jean Smith of Chippewa; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Delores Rawl, Betty Ickerd, Judy Robinson, Anna Mildred Thomas; two brothers, Robert and Thomas Robinson; and a stepson, Jeffrey “Boe” Lewis.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 28 from 11 until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.   Rev. Eric Board will officiate the service.  He will be assisted by Herbert’s sister, Rev. Wilma Jean Smith and his two brother in laws, Rev. Allen Lewis and Rev. Alfred Lewis.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
