Ida Mae Guerriero Kirkwood

Ida Mae Guerriero Kirkwood, 82, of  Francis Street, Ellwood City died on  Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief  illness.

Born March 24, 1930 in Frisco, Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Ernest M. and Hallie  Miller Guerriero.  She was married September 22, 1951 to H. Wayne  Kirkwood who passed away May 24, 2010.

Ida Mae graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948.  She worked in the Order and Tabulating Departments at the National Tube Mill.  She was a member of the Lillyville Church of God and the Ellwood City Historical Society.  Ida Mae was a member of the GAR in Ellwood City and the Fort McIntosh Chapter of the DAR in Beaver.   She also held membership in the Beaver Co. Genealogy Society, the Western Pennsylvania Genealogy Society of Pittsburgh, the Manchester-Lancashire Family Genealogical Society in England, and POINT – an Italian genealogy society.  Ida Mae enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, painting, traveling, gardening, and genealogy research.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons in law – Debra (John) Wallace of Greensburg, Vicki (Andy) Homner of Beaver Falls; son – Stan (Thea) Kirkwood of Temperance, MI; 7 grandchildren – Jarrod Wallace, Adrienne Wallace Doherty, Andrea Homner Shuman, Jay Homner, Justin Kirkwood, Julia Kimball, and Emily Walker; 5 great grandchildren – Kylar Ray Shuman, Donovin Wayne Shuman, Annabelle Leigh Homner,  Lukas James Kimball, and Tyler Bradley Kimball.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 2 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Tom Kennedy will officiate.  Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends and family may also share memories and a meal at the residence of her daughter, Vicki Homner after 5:30 pm on Monday.
