Irene Burnsides

Irene Burnsides, 73, of Stewart Ave., New Castle (Shenango Twp.) died on Friday, October 19, 2012 at her residence.

Born June 28, 1939 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Sophie Blaskowitz Zduniak .

She was married to Robert Dale Burnsides for 45 years when he passed away on September 25, 2007.

Irene worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill in her early years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She loved spending time outdoors. Her most cherished time was spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Melanie (Tom) Davis of Shenango Twp.; two grandchildren, Sophie Caroline and Gabriel James Davis; and three sisters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. “Spike” Burnsides on May 12, 2003.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 22, 2012 from 5-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dick Allen officiating.
