James “Jay” Rosaci

James “Jay” Rosaci Jr., 83, of Northview Estates passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 2, 2014 following an extended illness.

Born February 17, 1931 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late James D. Rosaci Sr. and Mabel Irene Jeffers Rosaci Main. He was married for 58 years to Edith J. Pica Rosaci who passed October 9, 2008.

Jay retired from the Masury Works of US Steel after transferring from the Ellwood City Works. He was affiliated with the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. An Army Veteran, Jay served during the Korean War from August 16, 1948 to July 14, 1950. He enjoyed camping, bowling, and working puzzles.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, James Jay and Cindy Rosaci; a sister, Mary Ann Cearfoss; and a granddaughter, Nicole “Colei” Rosaci Hall and her husband, Travis Hall, all of Ellwood City.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Betty Pezzi, Rose Main, Josephine Joseph, Evelyn Kirkwood, and Cate Holler.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. The Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church will conduct a Prayer Service at 2 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Daniel Stinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
