James B. Tillia, 88, of Wayne Twp. passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at UPMC Jameson.
Born July 3, 1936 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Eugene and Hazel Reno Tillia.
Jim worked as a foreman at B&W in Koppel until his retirement. He was a proud Veteran and served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for many years and of the Koppel-Big Beaver Sportsman's Association where he served as treasurer for many years. He loved being outside, sitting on his porch, and was an avid reader. A dedicated family man, he cherished moments spent with his family.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Barbara Strealy Tillia three sons, Jesse (Pam) of Buffalo NY, Jeffrey (Deborah) of Adamsville, PA and Jerry (Betty) Tillia of Wampum; daughter, Kim (Steve) Dobos of Cranberry Twp; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Jennifer, Brianne, Alan, Megan, and Lauren; 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Donna Nagel of Wampum.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandson Alberto Rodriguez and brother Gale Tillia.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 25, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum. Friends will also be received on Tuesday November 26 from 10:30 am until the Funeral Service at 11 am at the Harmony Baptist Church. Pastors Jeff McKay and Ronnie Nagel will officiate. Military Rites will be observed. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
