Juanita J. Olinger, 83, of Shenango Township passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Avalon Place, Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 25, 1940 in West Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Juanita May Watson Perine. She was previously married to the late Clarence E. Olinger. He passed away in 2000.
Juanita preferred to be called by her middle name (Jane).
Jane enjoyed working in her flower garden and collecting angels. She held many jobs throughout her life, including an inspector for the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, she was the cleaning lady for McElwain Motor’s and Allied Moving Company and several other offices, she was a housekeeper for many years, and also worked at PeeWee’s Hot Dog Shop. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a very kind and generous person.
Survivors include four sons, Randy E. of Ellwood City, Mark A. (Sandra) of Shenango Township, Jeffrey W. of Shenango Township, and Brian R. Olinger of Chippewa; five grandsons, two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Patty) Ferguson of Ellwood City and Deanna Lukas of Arizona; three brothers, Gary Perine of Colorado, Larry Perine of West Pittsburg, and Charles Perine of Colorado.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Winnie Miles and her grandson Dakota Olinger.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Avalon Place Nursing Rehab Center and Three River’s Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Jane.
