Jennie B. Cook Richards

Jennie B. Cook Richards, 90, of Main St. Wampum died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Greer House following a short illness.

Born June 6, 1921 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret J. Kirkpatrick Blair.

She was married to George W. Cook who died in 1970 and then to Ray L. Richards who died in 1991.

Jennie graduated from New Castle High School in 1939 and from the New Castle Business College in 1940. She retired following 41 years of service from First Seneca Bank (formerly Lawrence Savings and Trust) in June of 1986. She was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City. Jennie enjoyed knitting and lively conversation.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and many good friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands , she was preceded in death by a brother, James N. Blair.

Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.
Rev. Dr. William R. McGary of the Wampum Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
