Joann Grinnen

JoAnn Grinnen, 83, of McMurray, PA and formerly of Wampum, PA died on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 following an extended illness.

Born October 8, 1930 in East Palestine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Louise B. McRoberts Mibuck. She was married for 44 years to Robert M. Grinnen who passed away March 24, 1991.

JoAnn owned and operated JoAnn’s Beauty Shop in Wampum for many years. She was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. She was an avid and accomplished bridge player with a Master’s Designation. She also enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Tom) Magazzine of Leesburg, VA, Jill (Dr. George) Jastrzebski of Reston, VA; her companion, Karl Brammer of McMurray; three grandchildren, Monica (Blake) Byram, Ryan (Beata) Magazzine, David Jastrzebski; and two great grandchildren, Grant and Grace Byram.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Huston and a brother, James B. Mibuck.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday January 4, 2014 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. William R. McGary will officiate. Interment will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
