John A. Kuczynski

John A. Kuczynski, 74, of Shenango Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Twp.

Born August 21, 1944 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Stanley M. and Mary Ann Bober Kuczynski. He was married to Jerilynne Barton Kuczynski for 46 years. She survives.

John retired from Koppel Steel where he was an electrician. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City and the former St. Monica’s Parish in Wampum. John was a Veteran of the Army and a member of the Polish Falcons in New Castle. He enjoyed playing volleyball and golfing with Challenges and the West Side Golf Leagues. His most cherished time was spent with his family especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jerilynne, survivors include a daughter, Melissa (Kash) Eagleton of Fredericksburg, VA; son, Brian (Holly) Kuczynski of New Castle; three sisters, Connie Allen of Ellwood City, Kathleen (Richard) Pannutti of King, NC, Rita (Ray) Carungi of Weston, WI; brother, Peter Kuczynski of Phoenix, AZ; and seven grandchildren, Paige, Drew and Lane Eagleton and Aubrey, Nolan, Kaleb, and Marin Kuczynski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David and Daniel Kuczynski and an infant son.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 4, 2019 from 3 – 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday at 10 am. Rev. Father Mark Thomas will officiate. Full Military Rites will be offered by the Veteran Honor Guard. Entombment will follow in Parkside Mausoleum.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
