Joseph F. Daly Sr.

Joseph Francis Daly Sr, 84, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013.

Born March 13, 1929 in Brackenridge, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Della Lydick Daly .

Joseph was a decorated World War II Veteran having proudly served our country as a Merchant Marine and a member of the US Army. He was last employed at Aetna Standard Engineering in Ellwood City. He was a lifetime member of the Saxon Club in Ellwood City, the American Legion, and many other organizations too numerous to mention. He was also extremely proud of his Irish heritage.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ethel Mae Christy Daly and his youngest son, Timothy Edward Daly. Joseph was one of eleven children, all of whom had preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Joseph F. Daly Jr; a daughter, Gloria Mae Wolfe; two granddaughters, Shanna Glover and Melinie Dominguez. Joseph will be deeply missed by his three great-grandchildren, Owen Glover and Franchesca and Katlyn Dominguez.

Per Joseph’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Private arrangement were entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
