June G. Seetch, 93, of California Ave., Ellwood City died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her residence.
Born April 8, 1921 in Frisco, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Florence Arnold Dobson. She was married to the late Jacob H. Seetch, who passed away in 1995.
Mrs. Seetch retired in 1975 from US Steel Company where she worked in the Payroll Department for 30 years. She then worked for several years at Commercial Machine Company in Ellwood City. June graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939. She served with the US Navy as a Yeoman’s Third Class from 1944-1946. Active in the community, June was a member of the First Christian Church, former member of the Ellwood City Business and Professional Women, the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary, volunteer with the Meals on Wheels Program, and a member of the Ellwood City AARP.
Survivors include a step daughter, Barbara Morey of Virginia; sister, Ruth Flinner of Wampum; sister in law, Lucille Dobson of California; two step grandchildren, her god child, Terry McManus of Pittsburgh and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Narkiewicz and a brother, Forrest Dobson.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 20 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Her Pastor, Tom O’Brien will officiate. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
