Kathryn A. Mckim

Kathryn A. “Kay” McKim, 83, of Koppel passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital from an apparent heart attack.

Born June 9, 1936 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes (Blythe) Aldrich. She was married to Robert D. McKim who died in 1997.

Kay graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1954. She retired from Reeves Bank in Beaver Falls. She had formerly worked as the Secretary in the Registrar’s Office at Geneva College for 18 years. Kay was a lifelong member of the Koppel United Methodist Church where she served as their treasurer. She was an avid reader.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Aldrich of Koppel, Cookie (Thomas) Langhel of Patterson Heights; three sister in laws, Susan Aldrich, Mary McKim, Shirley McKim; and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, John and Lois Aldrich.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday December 17 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am with her pastor, Rev. Jay Sterling officiating. Entombment will follow in the Williamsburg Mausoleum in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
