Kathy M. Hahn

Kathy M. Hahn, 66, of Mulberry, Florida (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida.

Born May 19, 1949 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Zelma Marie Derrow Hahn.

Kathy graduated from Laurel High School. She continued her studies at Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chili, New York earning her bachelors degree. She also received her Master’s Degree from Western Maryland University. She retired as the registrar at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina where she worked for many years. Kathy enjoyed reading and cooking. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart. She cherished her trips back home to visit with her family and friends.

Survivors include a sister, Frieda L. McMath of Hubbard, Ohio; brother, David (June) Hahn of Bergen, New York; sister in law, Rose Hahn of New Castle; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, a great great niece, and two great great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred F. Hahn.

Friends and family will be received Monday January 4, 2016 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Forrest States will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery in New Castle.
