Lillian I. Cunning, 99, of New Beaver Borough passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her residence.

Born on July 10, 1924 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Oval and Idella Zeigler Moore. She was married to Wilbert F. Cunning when he passed on December 19, 1993.

A strong and independent woman, Lil enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds, especially hummingbirds. She enjoyed the smell of fresh cut grass, baking bread and cold water buns. Her most cherished time was spent with her family. She was loved and respected by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Williamson, Karen Nulph and Arlene Jackson; two sons, Harry and Clifford Cunning; 15 grandchildren; Bryan, Kelly, Laura, Aaron, Andrea, Robert, Amy, Melissa, Lisa, Rhonda, Stefanee, Scott, Emily; 2 step grandchildren; Melissa, Crissa; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Bob, Rick, and Oval Moore, Jr.

In addition to her parents and husband Wilbert, she was preceded in death by her sons Leonard J. and Wilbert B. “Dubby” Cunning, daughter Diane F. Cunning, two brothers James and Bill Moore, and six sisters, Ruby Hartwell, Marlene Moore, Georganna Koach, Colleen Musquire, Alberta Lutz, and Linda Moore.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 6, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home, on December 7, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Wimer officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
