Lois Jean Sari, 90, went home to be with her Savior on Monday, April 15, 2019. She passed away peacefully at her home of 71 years in Perry Township surrounded by her family.
She was born July 21, 1928 in Castlewood to the late Robert Ben and Lulu Viola Lutz Newton.
Lois leaves behind her loving husband of 71 years, Charles Sari, her three children; daughter, Kathy Sari and son Frank (Mary) Sari, both of New Castle; son Charles (Bettie) Sari of Franklin, PA. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Frank Sari of New Castle and Kevin (Tami) Sari of Polk, PA and two great grandsons, Reece and Kelan Sari of Polk. Also close family friend, Donna Remler of New Castle.
Lois enjoyed her life as a homemaker and mother. She adored her grandchildren. Her favorite times were those spent with family and friends. Lois was a member of the congregation of the Berean Presbyterian Church of Ellwood City.
Lois will be remembered as being an avid card player whether it was poker nights with family or just a game of Uno or Crazy Eights to pass the afternoon. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to ceramic class.
Above all else, Lois will be forever remembered for her warm and caring nature, her soft, gentle eyes, and her friendly warm open smile for whomever she met.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Newton and two sisters, Margaret “Peg” Price and Dorothy Black.
A private service for family was held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City with final interment in Locust Grove Cemetery.
