Margaret Eleanor Reese

Margaret Eleanor Reese, 90, of Kittery Ridge Dr., New Castle (Shenango Twp.) died on  Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Ellwood City Hospital.

Born April 20, 1922 in Castlewood, PA,  she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Bessie Houk Brown.  She was married to David  R. Reese who died on October 3, 1993.

Margaret was a member of the Castlewood Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.  She graduated from Shenango High School in 1940.   Mrs. Reese was a life member of the VFW in Bushnell, Florida.  She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and visiting her friends in nursing homes.

Survivors include a daughter in law, Linda Griffin of Vera Beach, FL; sister, Bette Riggans of New Castle; brother, Albert (Gloria) Brown of FL; sister in law, Mae Brown of Castlewood; brother in law, Waide Kennedy of Ellwood City; two grandsons, Mike and Randy Reese, both of New York; six great grandchildren; special friend, Rev. Edwin McElroy of New Castle; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald and David Randy Reese; two sisters, Roberta Kennedy and Lucille Moore, and a brother, Harold Brown.

Visiting hours will be held on  Wednesday September 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7- 9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home of Thursday,at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. James R. O’hara officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
