Margaret V. Gotjen

Margaret V. Gotjen, 88, of Shaffer Rd., New Castle (Slippery Rock Twp.) passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Born May 7, 1925 in Fombell, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Poskevich Link. She was married for 63 years to Paul W. Gotjen who passed away August 31, 2005.

Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and garden. She also loved her pug dogs.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Hafer of Pittsburgh, Sherran (Rev. David) Lassalle of Norfolk, VA; son, Daniel (Shirley) Gotjen of Ellwood City; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

The last of her family, she was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday July 20 from 5-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:00 pm with her pastor, Rev. James A. Cannistraci officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
