Marguerite A. Klingensmith

Marguerite A. Klingensmith, 86, of Wayne Twp. died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her residence.

Born April 7, 1925 in Zelienople, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Eva Hicks Vollrath.

She was married on January 13, 1945 to Melvin Klingensmith who passed away on April 2, 1997.

Marguerite was an active member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church. She was the Church Secretary for over 30 years. She was an avid reader. Marguerite’s family and church were her life.

Survivors include 3 daughters – Kimberly (David) Bushman of Harleysville, PA, Barbara (James) Nagel of Darlington, Kandace Burns (Frank) Pugh of Skippack, PA; sister – Mae Wagner of Fombell; brother – Robert Vollrath of Zelienople; 4 grandchildren – Christine Burns, Nathan Nagel, Nicole Scott, Lynne E. Burns; and 2 great grandchildren – Robert Scott and Carter Burns.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law – Joseph Burns; a grandson – Matthew Burns; sister – Mary “Sis” Himes; and two brothers – George and John Vollrath.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Julia Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home – Ellwood City
