Marianne Cilli Whipkey

Marianne Cilli Whipkey, 65, of New Galilee passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at UPMC Jameson Hospital following a short illness.

Born August 10, 1957 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Alfred G. Cilli and Mary A. Caimano Cilli. She was married to Scott Whipkey.

Marianne had graduated from Mohawk High School and Geneva College, where she earned her BS Chemistry Degree. She was employed by Environmental Laboratory Services, where she served as a Lab Director for 35 years. An accomplished cook and baker, Marianne enjoyed her role as the family event coordinator. A loving, caring, giving person, her most cherished time was spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years Scott; son, Scott Matthew Whipkey of Wexford; four brothers, Gabriel P. (Karen) Cilli of Shenango Township, Patsy (Lisa) Cilli of New Beaver, Dino Paul Cilli of Edinburg, Marc (Leslie) Cilli of Shenango Township; sister, Laura (Kirk) Dengler of New Castle, and a number of beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022 from 5:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum. Pastor Dave Keppen will officiate. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
