Marjorie A. Ross

Marjorie A. Ross, 83, (formerly of West Pittsburg) passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Avalon Place.

Born January 11, 1939 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John Clifford and Anna Gierling Booher.

Marjorie attended YSU, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. She was a Home-Ec Teacher at Shenango High School for 11 years and finished her career at Lark Enterprises as a Counselor, retiring after 25 years. She was a former member of Savannah United Methodist Church and of the 4H, which she enjoyed. Marjorie was a longtime accomplished seamstress, an avid Steeler fan, and loved traveling to her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

Survivors include son, Dale (Lesley) Ross of Shenango Township; daughter, Dana (John) Purcell of Silver Springs, MD; six grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Jayci, and Treyton Ross, and Colin and Brady Purcell and her sister, Patty Rosenthal of Youngstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Howard Booher.

Per her request, no services will be held.
