Marlene Joyce Doutt Altman, 80, returned to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 following an extended illness.
Marlene was the youngest of three children born to the late Eugene and Grace Buttermore Doutt on October 31, 1936 in New Castle. She married the love of her life Weston “Buck” Altman 62 years ago on October 7, 1955. He survives.
Marlene graduated from Mount Jackson High School in 1954. She formerly worked at Airway Luggage and Wal-mart. She also was a loving caregiver to many. Marlene was a member of the Word Alive Church in Ellwood City. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, and cooking.
In addition to her husband, Buck, survivors include two children, Lugene (Dave) Barber of Wampum, Weston (Laurie) Altman of North Beaver Twp.; six grandchildren, David Barber, Timothy Barber, Matthew Barber, Meghan Weltman, Katelyn Ratvasky, and Amanda Long; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph (Millie) Doutt of Wampum and sister, Delores Boughter of Shenango Twp.
She was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Donna Mae Doutt.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
