Martha E. Stelter

Martha E. Stelter, 75, of Moravia passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following a short illness.

Born September 13, 1941 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah Allen Crawford. She was married for 57 years to Chuck Stelter who survives. They were married November 24, 1959.

Martha graduated from Mohawk High School. She worked as a phlebotomist for Labcorp in New Castle for many years. She then worked in the office of Dr. Lawrence Fazioli . Martha was an active member and Elder at the Moravia Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

In addition to her husband, Chuck survivors include a sister, Cornelia Salak of New Castle and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Crawford in WWII.

Family and friends will gather at the Moravia Presbyterian Church on Sunday, July 9 from 2 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 pm. Martha’s pastor, Rev. Dr. David Clark will officiate. Interment will take place in Savannah Cemetery
